TCS NQT Exam Pattern 2025: A Comprehensive Guide to the Foundation Section
Section Overview:
Numerical Ability: 25 minutes, 20 questions
Logical Reasoning: 25 minutes, 20 questions
Verbal Ability: 25 minutes, 25 questions
Total: 65 questions to be answered in 75 minutes. A sectional cut-off is applied.
To enhance your efficiency, remember that you can switch between sections in the Foundation part. Start with the one you feel most confident in to maximize your time.
TCS NQT Recruitment Process 2025: Advanced Section
Section Breakdown:
Advanced Quantitative + Reasoning Ability: 25 minutes, 15 questions
Advanced Coding: 90 minutes, 2 questions
Total: 17 questions, including 15 MCQs and 2 coding tasks. The total duration is 115 minutes, with a sectional cut-off.
Advanced Coding Details:
Languages allowed: C, C++, Java, Python, Perl
The coding section includes 2 questions: one of medium difficulty (20-25 minutes) and one more challenging (30-35 minutes). Each has a separate timer.
Both rounds, Foundation and Advanced, are conducted on the same day at TCS iON Centers.
Round 3: TCS NQT Interview Process 2025
Your interview call depends on your cut-off score for each role:
Ninja: Clearing only the Foundation section.
Digital: Foundation + Advanced Aptitude + 1 coding question.
Prime: Foundation + Advanced Aptitude + 2 coding questions.
Interview Duration:
Digital and Prime: 60-70 minutes (sometimes extending to 90 minutes).
Ninja: 20-30 minutes.
The interview consists of three rounds: Technical, Managerial (MR), and Human Resources (HR).
Technical Round:
Ninja: Focus on programming languages and general tech concepts.
Prime/Digital: Questions may cover data structures, algorithms, competitive programming, and emerging technologies (Big Data, Data Science, IoT, Cloud computing).
HR Round:
- Introductions, behavioral questions, and company research.
MR Round:
- In-person, including both technical and managerial questions. Expect challenging, scenario-based questions.
